Meet the Stafford Family
First-generation farmers
Wiscovery Farm started in 2019 when we discovered 56-acres of farmland in beautiful Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
We began quietly. Harvesting hay. Renovating the 1920s farmhouse. Changing lots of diapers. Fighting equipment breakdowns. Crying. A lot. Wondering what we got ourselves into.
Next thing we knew, we were bringing home a flock of sheep. And a donkey. And barn cats. Our farm was coming to life.
Today there’s muddy boots at every doorstep and the comforting rhythm of chores. Tractor rides and warm lamb nuzzles. Sweet-smelling hay and fiery country sunsets.
While there will always be uncertainty and hardship, the gifts of farming in Wisconsin are real. We believe Wiscovery Farm offers a special way to discover that goodness…and we want to share it with all of you.
Meet the Crew
-
Beau Stafford / Farm Operations
Beau’s love for farming began at an early age when he helped neighboring farmers with their harvests and livestock. Since then, his career experience in agriculture and energy policy, political campaigning, home construction, forest fire fighting and property management have helped him greet the challenges of land and livestock management with innovative ideas and skills to match.
Beau is excited to develop partnerships with solar developers and local farmers for agriovoltaics — promoting renewable energy alongside agricultural opportunity.
-
Grace Stafford / Community Outreach
Grace’s love for farming didn’t happen overnight. But as she discovered the quiet of the country, freedom of endless fields and the bleats of baby lambs, her heart was won over. Today she draws on her experience developing brand campaigns for Fortune 500 brands to manage Wiscovery Farm’s community presence, marketing and outreach efforts.
And of course…the support staff.
